 This week:

• The Summer Feeding Program has ended. Meals where only being served through July.
• Friday August 7, 6-9 PM—Dodge ball Devo. Come to the church and eat some food and play some dodge ball for this night’s Devo.
• Sunday August 9, 9:15 AM—Sunday School
• Sunday August 9, 12-2 PM—Youth Praise Team Practice. Lunch Served.

Coming Up:

• Sunday August 16, 9:15 AM—Sunday School
• Sunday August 16, 12-2 PM—Mandatory Confirmation Meeting. For all parents and their children who will be participating in Confirmation this year. Lunch will be served.
• Friday August 21-Saturday August 22, 8 PM-8 AM—Lock In & Talent Show. Led by Steve Hawkins.
• Sunday August 23, 9:15 AM—Sunday School
• Sunday August 23, 12-2 PM—Youth Praise Team Practice. Lunch Served.
• Saturday August 29, 10 AM-12 PM—Youth Praise Team Final Practice.
• Sunday August 30, 9:15 AM—Sunday School
• Sunday August 30, 12-2 PM—Sexuality Class Parents Meeting. Starting September 20 the youth will begin a Sunday school class on relationships and sex. This meeting will preview this class for parents, outline our topics, and allow parents to ask questions and review the curriculum. Lunch Served.

• Saturday, August 1, 8 AM- 2 PM— Service Saturday, Meet at the church at 8AM.  We will go back over to Mike Purkiss’ neighbor’s house to finish the work we started last month. Pack a lunch.

• Day at Joe Pool Lake is postponed until later date.

• Thursday, July 23- Saturday, July 25 — The Peer Ministry Retreat at the Harr’s Ranch! Costs $10 per person.  Meet at the church on Thursday at 3 PM, be back 3 PM Saturday.

• Sunday July 26, After 10:30 service—Youth Praise Team Practice, lunch will be served

This week:

• Monday, June 8 – Wednesday, June 10 6:15-9 PM.  Call Event: YOU are custom designed and custom called for a custom designed life! God does not only call pastors and professional church staff. Rather, God calls everyone. More importantly, God is CALLING YOU. Energetic and fun, this seminar will provide valuable scriptural insight, practical wisdom, and more importantly time for understanding your unique individuality, recognizing God’s guiding hand, and even grappling with two of life’s more practical yet significant questions: Who am I? & What am I to do? Cost: $25 ($10 if you already own a reflection guide).
•  Tuesday, June 9, 11-1 PM —Summer Feeding Program. Every Tuesday we will volunteer at High Pointe Elementary as part of Child’s summer feeding program. We will leave the church promptly at 11 AM and return at 1 PM. Anyone age 18 or older must have a background check badge with CHISD. • Saturday, June 13, 10 AM-5PM—Work Day at the Johnson’s. The Johnsons bought the whole youth group for a day’s worth of work. Get to their house at 10 AM (pack some snacks if you will get hungry). We’ll eat hot dogs around 2 PM, do a little swimming, and finish up any projects. Contact Matt or Zach if you need a ride or directions.
• Sunday, June 14, 9:15 AM—Mission Trip Sunday School. May 31-June 21 we will have Sunday school on the theme of missions. This is mandatory for Mission Trip participants.
• Sunday, June 14, 12-2 PM—Youth Praise Team Practice after church in preparation for the Taste of Hope.
• Sunday, June 14, 5-8:30 PM— VBS kicks off and the Taste of Hope.  Youth are encouraged to serve during VBS.
• Sunday, June 14,  All permission slips and final payments are due for the Mission Trip to Rogers, AR.

• Saturday, May 30, 5-8 PM—Youth Ministry Open House. The whole congregation is invited to meet new Youth Ministry Intern Zach Poulter. Hosted at Mark and Tammy Hill’s house. Dinner served. Bring your swimsuit if you want to swim. We will have a formal time of introductions and Q&A with Zach at 6:00 PM.
• Sunday, May 31, 8:00 AM & 10:30—Youth-led Worship services.
• Sunday, May 31, 9:15 AM—Mission Trip Sunday School. May 31-June 21 we will have Sunday school on the theme of missions. This is mandatory for Mission Trip participants.
