Lots of important things happening this week. Our new intern Zach just started today… check below for opportunities to get to meet him!

This week:

  • Wednesday, May 27 & June 3, 6-8 PM—Spirituality Seminar. Between Confirmation Sunday and the summer, we will host a Spirituality Seminar for jr. high and high school to discuss 2 videos that dive deep into the area of spirituality. Come meet Zach for the first time!
  • Saturday, May 30, 10-12 PM—Youth Praise Team Final Practice.
  • Saturday, May 30, 5-8 PM—Youth Ministry Open House. The whole congregation is invited to meet new Youth Ministry Intern Zach Poulter. Hosted at Mark and Tammy Hill’s house. Dinner served. Bring your swimsuit if you want to swim. We will have a formal time of introductions and Q&A with Zach at 6:00 PM.
  • Sunday, May 31, 8:00 AM & 10:30—Youth-led Worship services.
  • Sunday, May 31, 9:15 AM—Mission Trip Sunday School. May 31-June 21 we will have Sunday school on the theme of missions. This is mandatory for Mission Trip participants.
  • Sunday, May 31, noon—Mission Trip Meeting. A brief mandatory meeting for all mission trip participants & parents. We will go over details and give your final balance.

Coming Up:

  • Sunday, June 7 & 14, 9:15 AM—Mission Trip Sunday School. May 31-June 21 we will have Sunday school on the theme of missions. This is mandatory for Mission Trip participants.
  • Tuesdays, Starting June 9, 11 AM-1PM—Summer Feeding Program. Every Tuesday we will volunteer at High Pointe Elementary as part of CHISD’s summer feeding program. We will leave the church promptly at 11 AM and return at 1 PM. Anyone age 18 or older must have a background check badge with CHISD. See Matt for details.
  • Saturday, June 13, 10 AM-5PM—Work Day at the Johnson’s. The Johnsons bought the whole youth group for a day’s worth of work. Get to their house at 10 AM (pack some snacks if you will get hungry). We’ll eat hot dogs around 2 PM, do a little swimming, and finish up any projects. Contact Matt or Zach if you need a ride or directions.
  • Sunday, June 14, 12-2 PM—Youth Praise Team Practice. Lunch Served.
  • Sunday-Thursday, June 14-18—VBS. Youth are encouraged to serve  during VBS. See Matt for details and flyers for times.
  • Sunday-Saturday, June 21-27—Mission Trip. We will meet at the church Sunday at 8:30 AM and return Saturday at 2:00 PM.
  • Sunday, June 28, 9:15 AM—Mission Trip Sharing. The mission trip participants will share from their mission trip experiences during the Sunday school hour.
  • Sunday, June 28, 12-2 PM—Youth Praise Team Practice. Lunch Served.
